Part Number 7 Centre Section with Fuel Tank
Weldable aluminum fuel tank fittings, Centre Section Wing Tank with flush-mounted fuel cap and fork ends, some damage on centre section – BUY it NOW $500
Aluminium Leading Edge.
Trailing edge laminated bow.
Hand hold laminated bow.
Includes fuel line fittings.
End ribs.
Flush mounted fuel cap.
Fuel tank is constructed with three baffles positioned where the wooden ribs were.
The tank is padded with neoprene and clamped into position using straps.
The fuel tank and the centre section were beautifully constructed.
Luc St Mars, certified aircraft aluminium welder and owner/operator of AirFab welded the fuel tank.
Maximum amount of fuel is obtained by making the fuel tank extend right to the end ribs, cutting out an area to install the drag and anti-drag wires. The drag and anti-drag wires are suspended in air, passing through the tank in the centre of aluminium tubes welded to the tank.
An electric fuel quantity sendor is attached to the fuel tank.
The welding is also a work of art.
Wiing mount flanges are distorted and flattened back.
Leading edge spar and plywood sheeting on base of centre section are splintered.
The following images are included in case it helps viewer see where the damaged areas are...where the fabric is wrinkled.
